Letter to Parents
Wednesday, May 20th, 2026
Dear Parents,
We’re excited to announce Job Shadow Day for junior high students on Wednesday, May 20th! As part of our career unit, students will have the opportunity to shadow a professional and see how school skills are applied in the workplace.
- Morning Only!- Start at the job site and return to school for 3rd block (by 11:06) to finish the day.
- Guidelines:
- Students need a signed permission slip by Friday, May 8th.
- They must arrange their own transportation.
- A letter from the school explaining the activity will be provided for employers.
- Students are responsible for any missed schoolwork.
- This is a voluntary event, and students must follow guidelines to participate.
- Students must complete the Job Shadow Onsite activity sheet to guide their learning and reflect on their experience. This must be completed and returned to a counselor for your student’s absence to be excused.
- Students will be back in time to eat lunch here at school. Please remember any food items brought back to school will have to remain at the office until your student’s lunch time.
