The Youth Coding League is a competitive coding program for junior high school students. Coders learn basic computer science concepts, create projects that apply that knowledge in Scratch, score points each sprint, and see how they and your school stack up against other schools competing in the league at YouthCodingLeague.com. The teams are outfitted in earbuds, hats, and jerseys in their school colors for the league. Participating in the Youth Coding League is like being on a sports team. Coders participate in a regular and postseason. There are two opportunities to participate: fall and spring seasons. Contact Sarah Welch for additional information.
